GenesisCare appoints UK general manager

Oncology provider GenesisCare has recruited Justin Hely as its UK general manager, replacing James McArthur who is now group CFO and head of group business planning.

Hely brings 20 years’ experience in both UK and international healthcare markets and joins from management consultancy Akeso & Company where he was a director.

He began his career in the NHS before joining Ernst & Young, where he advised clients on operational and strategic improvement programmes for almost five years. Hely is also a former executive director at BMI Healthcare.

GenesisCare has added new centres to its network over the past two years with the opening of a radiotherapy facility in Bristol and the launch of a cancer centre at Bupa Cromwell Hospital. 

The provider has also introduced several oncology services and technology, including ViewRay’s MRIdian MR-Guided Linac, Stereotactic Radiosurgery and Theranostics.
