Reframe Cancer appoints Russell Young as commercial director

Cancer care navigation provider Reframe Cancer has continued to strengthen its senior team with the appointment of Russell Young as commercial director.

Young (pictured) joins from Further Group UK, where he spent two and a half years as director of sales and account management, leading its work with insurers and brokers on cancer navigation and support. He has previously held roles at Cigna Global and Morgan Price International Healthcare.

At Reframe Cancer, he will lead the sales function and join the senior management team, reporting to chief executive Mark Stephenson.

‘I’m delighted to be joining Reframe Cancer at a time when they are going through significant growth. What they do for cancer patients is amazing, and I look forward to working with insurers, employers and intermediaries to help bring their proven solutions to as many employees and individuals as possible,’ Young said.

Stephenson said Young’s appointment would help the company further expand in its designated customer channels.

‘We’re so pleased to have secured Russell to head up our commercial function. His knowledge of the market mixed with his ethical approach will further help us grow as we continue to expand and invest in new systems,’ he added.

Young’s appointment follows recent senior hires including former Nuffield Health clinical director Professor Ben Kelly as chief operating officer, and Nikki Cannon – who led the personalised care and survivorship programme at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust – as head of screening.
