Totally executive director steps down

Michael Steel leaves Totally board

NHS outsourcing specialist Totally has announced that its executive director Michael Steel is stepping down from the board with effect from 10 July.

The company said in a statement that Steel’s responsibilities will be handed over to existing members of the team at Totally.

Steel co-founded Greenbrook Healthcare in 2007 and joined Totally’s board June 2019 on completion of the company’s acquisition of Greenbrook.

Prior to Greenbrook Healthcare, Steel spent 14 years in strategy consulting as a partner for Roland Berger Strategy Consultants and as a project manager for Booz Allen and Hamilton. He also founded and built a consulting firm which was successfully sold to Roland Berger.

Steel recently accepted a full-time position as chief executive officer of Whatever It Takes, a start-up charity that supports vulnerable young people.

Totally chief executive Wendy Lawrence wished Steel well in his new role.

‘He has supported the successful integration of Greenbrook Healthcare into the Urgent Care Division at Totally over the past 12 months and was a key part in the acquisition being successful in 2019,’ she added.
