Teleradiology services provider Medica Group has appointed Marc O’Brien (pictured) as chief technical officer (CTO), a newly created role within the company.
O’Brien will be developing a technology strategy for the business. He was most recently chief information officer at diagnostics and healthcare solutions provider InHealth, delivering on its digital and technical strategy.
Before that he worked for pathology provider Viapath. He was also part of the team that founded Spire Healthcare.
O’Brien commented: ‘I am excited to be part of Medica where my priority will be to facilitate clinically safe growth of the organisation through the delivery of a technology strategy.’
Medica has made a number of recent hires to its operations and technology division.
John Graham, Medica’s chief executive, added: ‘[O’Brien] is a key addition to the leadership team. His knowledge of technological systems and infrastructure will be invaluable as we look to increase our radiology capacity by building a global network of specialists to meet a growing demand for our services.
