Circle Health Group to roll out robotic surgery system

Circle Health Group is expanding its investment in surgical robotics with plans to deploy ten of Johnson & Johnson MedTech’s VELYS Robotic-Assisted Solutions for knee replacement procedures at hospitals across the UK.

The systems will be introduced at sites in Glasgow, Manchester, Reading, Basingstoke and Great Missenden by the end of May 2025, building on an existing installation at The Park Hospital in Nottingham.

The VELYS Robotic-Assisted Solution, which is designed to be used with the ATTUNE Knee System, supports surgeons with CT-free, robotic-assisted technology aimed at improving implant positioning, preserving soft tissue, and reducing recovery times.

Circle said the rollout forms part of a wider strategy to deploy leading technologies across its network, and would contribute to creating one of the largest collections of robotic surgical systems under one roof in the UK.
