Private GP practice the Doctors Clinic Group (DCG) has opened its latest clinic in Manchester, marking its second opening outside of London.
The new centre will bring DCG’s GP services to Manchester, where residents and employees can access 15-minute appointments in addition to video and telephone consultations.
The Manchester clinic, located near Manchester Airport at The European Scanning Centre, brings the group’s total number of centres to 19 since it was first established in 2014.
Six of those clinics opened last year, including DCG’s first centre outside of London, which opened in Birmingham in October.
Dave Mezher, chief executive officer of the group, said: ‘We know it can be difficult to access GPs when you need them most, which is why we founded The Doctors Clinic Group six years ago.
‘Since then, we have developed a strong, patient-driven proposition, which prioritises accessibility, convenience and a broad range of services to provide the best standard of care to patients.
‘Launching in Manchester is a big moment for us and – following the success of our recent Birmingham clinic – means we are one step closer to helping meet the huge demands for convenient access to GPs and other medical services across the UK.’
DCG offers more than 40 services, ranging from standard GP appointments and screenings to women’s health, including maternity risk assessment, to virtual GP and corporate wellbeing and occupational health services.
