HealthHero partners with Testing For All

Digital health provider HealthHero has partnered with Testing For All to offer clients home-administered Covid-19 and antibody tests.

The test will determine if a user is carrying SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes Covid-19, regardless of whether they are displaying symptoms.

The home total antibody test will identify if a user has been exposed to Covid-19 by allowing for the detection of IgM and IgG antibodies, which appear in the blood after infection.

Launched last year in response to the pandemic, Testing For All is a not-for-profit offering Covid-19 tests around the UK.

This service is provided in addition to HealthHero’s existing offer, which includes 24/7 access to a GP via an app or phone for diagnosis, advice and reassurance as well as private prescriptions and referral letters.

‘The ability to utilise fast, reliable and comprehensive testing helps to remove uncertainty, and it gives clients more information to make better decisions in their private and working life,’ said Paul Nattrass, commercial director at HealthHero.

‘At this stage, there is no strong evidence to know if having antibodies equates to immunity, and for how long, so we urge clients to follow government guidance.’

HealthHero, formerly Medical Solutions, has expanded over the past year, developing partnerships with PMI providers and brokers, including Cirencester Friendly, General & Medical, Medicash, PG Mutual, Freedom Health Insurance, National Friendly and WPA.

Most recently, the digital health company partnered with broker Towergate Health & Protection to provide 24/7 GP services to its SME, corporate PMI and group risk customers.
