Oakland Care partners with Well-led Physio to launch Rehabilitation Retreat

Oakland Care has launched a Rehabilitation Retreat at its Lambwood Heights care home in Chigwell in partnership with Well-led Physio.

The launch marks Oakland Care’s first dedicated rehabilitation offering. It will be available at the group’s Harpenden and Bracknell homes, which feature a purpose-built physiotherapy suite and will support individuals recovering from illness, injury, surgery or reduced mobility.

The service offers tailored rehabilitation programmes, combining physiotherapy with residential care, alongside a specially developed high-protein menu to support recovery.

Oakland Care said the launch forms part of its continued investment in wellbeing services that extend beyond traditional care home provision, as demand grows for rehabilitation support outside hospital settings.

Chief operating officer Malcolm Hague said: ‘By partnering with Well-led Physio, we are bringing together expert rehabilitation, quality care and tailored nutrition to create a holistic recovery experience.’

The launch builds on an existing partnership between Oakland Care and Well-led Physio, which already provides physiotherapy services across the group’s care homes and is now extending its reach across its North London and Essex sites.

Jason Bartley, founder & director at Well-Led Physiotherapy, said: ‘The Rehabilitation Retreat is exactly what we set out to build when we started working with Oakland Care, a space where rehabilitation feels less like treatment and more like recovery in luxury. Our philosophy has always been about adding life to years, not just years to life, and this programme puts that into practice every day.’
