Spire Healthcare has been appointed Team GB’s exclusive official healthcare services partner under a new agreement running until the end of 2028, including the Los Angeles Olympic Games.
Under the deal, Spire will work with Team GB to promote healthier lifestyles and the benefits of physical activity, while supporting athletes on the road to the 2028 Games.
Spire said the collaboration would draw on its network of 38 hospitals, more than 60 clinics and consultant base to develop campaigns highlighting the role of exercise, rehabilitation and high-quality healthcare in improving health outcomes.
It will also work with Team GB athletes on public campaigns and patient stories aimed at encouraging people to become more active and supporting recovery from illness and injury.
Internally, the partnership will include opportunities for Spire employees and clinical partners to attend events with Team GB athletes.
Peter Corfield, chief commercial officer at Spire Healthcare, said the organisations shared an ambition to improve the nation’s health.
‘We are incredibly proud to partner with Team GB, an organisation that embodies excellence, resilience and pride,’ he said.
‘Our shared agenda is clear – to play our part in making a healthier, more productive nation.’
Tim Ellerton, chief commercial officer at Team GB, said the partnership would support athletes preparing for Los Angeles 2028 while also encouraging people across the UK to prioritise their own health and wellbeing.
Spire said the partnership forms part of its longer-term strategy to raise brand awareness, strengthen community engagement and promote healthier lifestyles through personalised healthcare.
