The London Clinic teams up with Trustedoctor to boost video consultations

The London Clinic has launched a video consultation service in partnership with Trustedoctor to enable private patients in the UK and overseas to access pre- and post-operative consultations with clinicians remotely.

Patients can use the ‘Connect’ service to access the relevant specialists and therapists through Trustedoctor’s online platform, which enables secure sharing of medical records, scans and reports during the video consultation.

Lukasz Rzeczkowski, co-founder and chief development officer of Trustedoctor, said the partnership placed the company ‘firmly on the map within the UK private healthcare market’.

‘So far, we have been working across the UK with the individual doctors, private clinics and Private Patient Units of the NHS Hospitals,’ added Rzeczkowski. ‘We are pleased we are able to make a significant impact for patients who are anxiously looking for best medical care whilst awaiting their treatments.’

Originally focused on oncology, Trustedoctor started out with individual doctors in six countries but has expanded to hospitals and clinics in 12 countries while also adding new specialties to its network.

Dr Nick Maisey, a medical oncologist, has used the platform as a part of the Independent Oncology Group and is now one of the consultants using Connect by The London Clinic.

‘I have been using Trustedoctor for my video consultations for over a year. It is an incredibly useful tool for remote consultations, particularly second medical opinions, as well as keeping in touch with patients who are struggling to attend in person,’ he said.
