Totally plc has secured contract extensions worth a total of around £16m.

The extensions include those awarded to Totally’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Vocare Limited, part of its Urgent Care Division, for the provision of integrated urgent care, GP out-of-hours and urgent treatment centres located in the North East of England and Yorkshire to 30 September 2023 at a value of roughly £13m.

The news comes just weeks after Totally announced the award of a major contract to operate an urgent treatment centre for King’s College Hospital. Operated by subsidiary Greenbrook Healthcare, the volume-based contract will run for three years with an optional two-year extension and is expected to be worth around £4m a year.

Totally CEO Wendy Lawrence said the extensions were a reflection of the work its staff were doing to deliver quality care to the high standards required by commissioners.

‘During the last 18 months we have stood shoulder to shoulder with the NHS as it responded to challenges presented by the Covid-19 pandemic,’ she said. ‘As society begins to return to normal, the challenges faced by the NHS continue. A significant increase in demand and recovery plans for the NHS have been well reported. To avoid service disruption for thousands of patients, continuity is essential, and we are pleased that we can continue to support our NHS colleagues during this extended period.
