Deal to bring medical tourists to Busan

Air Busan has signed a deal with the Busan Medical Tourism Promotion Council (BMTPC) to bring medical tourists to Busan. BMTPC is a trade organisation that promotes medical tourism to Busan and members include six medical tourism agencies, plus 57 hospitals and clinics.

Busan is one of Korea’s best known cities for medical trips. With 3.5 million citizens, it is the second biggest city to Seoul.

The city is a key destination for medical tourists from North-East Asia with 5,000 hospitals and clinics offering cosmetic surgery, dermatology, and dentistry, as well as brain and heart disease and cancer treatment.

Medical services packages include concierge services and translation services.

The Busan Medical Tourism & Cruise Lounge Centre at Busan Passenger Terminal provides information on medical tourism for international ferry/cruise passengers. it is managed by the Korea Tourism Organization .

The Mongolian Busan Medical Tourism Promotion Centre is run by Busan city hall and provides information on medical tourism for foreigners. It also sponsors medical centres in Busan to expand to Mongolia.
