Dubai seeks to attract more medical tourists from the East African region, particularly from Kenya. Increased numbers are arriving from Ethiopia, Kenya, and Nigeria.

Dubai has increased Emirates airline daily flights from Nairobi to three, with plans underway to have Kenyans receiving a visa on arrival in Dubai in the next three months.

Dr Leilah Mayra of Dubai Health Authority says most Kenyans seek fertility treatment, orthopaedic surgery and oncology services.
