Expanding hospitals in Nigeria

Nigeria medical tourism

In another effort to discourage outbound medical travel from Nigeria, UK business HP Kapital has announced plans to build hospitals in five cities in the country, with support and capital from FHT Ventures and the World Bank.

US$500 million has been sourced from the World Bank and other global development institutions as a take-off fund for the project.

The plan is to build hospitals on land in the Abuja, Lagos, Bauchi, Enugu and Niger states. According to those involved, the hospitals will be self-sustainable in electricity supply and operationally holistic in terms of medical and healthcare service delivery, with the inclusion of natural herbal medicine treatments.

FHT is working with relevant government agencies who have been contacted and keyed into the plans.
