Greece is open for tourism

Greece’s borders are open for international tourism, including for health and medical travellers from over 50 countries.

In April, Greece opened to a longer list of countries as a soft reopening, but it has now extended the invitation to more nations for their official return of tourism.

Most businesses and services in Greece have opened.

Travel to Greece and inter-city travel within Greece had been heavily restricted for most of 2021, but this has now changed.

Countries allowed to travel to Greece include all EU, EEA and Schengen countries plus China, Israel, Russia, Serbia, UAE and 18 other countries. But not all these countries, such as the UK, allow outbound tourism.

All passengers to Greece need to provide either proof of a negative PCR test, proof of vaccination, or proof of recovery. Proof of recovery needs a medical certificate issued within the last nine months from a doctor, health authority, or a certified laboratory.
