Hatten Land of Singapore has unveiled Melaka’s first wellness-themed mixed development project to be open by 2020.

With an estimated gross development value of RM300 million, Satori is set in Melaks in Malaysia. Satori, which means enlightenment in Japanese, goes beyond just bodily health. It is an all-round, holistic wellness development that combines the elements of physical, psychological as well as spiritual well-being, personalised to suit the specific needs and goals of each visitor.

Hatten Land’s wholly owned subsidiary Prolific Properties will develop the project over three years. It will be within Hatten City, a massive development of hotels, flats, retail and offices within the centre of Melaka city but also by the sea.

Satori will have 192 serviced suites, a retail mall with an adjoining car park with 457 lots and a 336-room hotel. The development will also provide more than 50 facilities, including a one-stop fitness and aqua gym, herb garden, yoga room, mediation hall, reflexology stone track, Red Indian play zone, beanbag theatre, sea salt spa, mud baths, beauty and hair salons, and health food outlets.

Colin Tan of Hatten Land says; “Pioneering a new holistic wellness niche in Melaka, Satori is the only one of its kind to combine health, fitness, beauty treatment, leisure, as well as homes and a hotel, all in one destination. It meets the aspirations of an increasingly sophisticated market which seeks quality wellness and health services.

The City of Melake gets 16 million tourists each year, which includes 160,000 health, wellness and medical tourists.
