Keith Pollard will be speaking about Medical tourism: past, present and future at Medical Korea 2022, taking place in person and online from 10 March. His pre-recorded presentation takes the audience from medical tourism in 2000 to the changes being seen in 2022, and what it might look like in 2040. It will be made available during the conference for public view.
Keith’s presentation will review the growth and development of medical tourism, how the pandemic has affected patient flows and the market in general and the response from destinations and providers to the short and long term challenges. It will consider how patient communication, patient perceptions and patient care have changed and will change in the future and what providers need to do to take account of a changing market.
Although the pandemic has clearly resulted in a major downturn in medical tourism, Keith believes that there are opportunities for future growth. His presentation will include an assessment of the prospects and timescale for market recovery.
