Medanta Hospital to open in Dubai Healthcare City

Leading Indian healthcare group Medanta will open a new hospital in Dubai Healthcare City in early 2017. Medanta Hospital in DHCC’s Phase 1 will have a capacity of 250 beds, and will cater to a broad range of specialties.

Medanta’s Medicity, established in 2009 in Gurgaon, adjoining India’s capital, New Delhi, holds the global distinction of performing the highest number of living donor liver transplants and the first robotic kidney transplant. Medicity has carried out over 150,000 procedures and surgeries in specialties including cardiology, orthopaedics, neurology, oncology, and liver and renal transplants. Since launch it has treated 150,000 international outpatients and 20,000 international inpatients from the Gulf, USA, South East Asia, and Asia.

Cardiac surgeon Naresh Trehan of Medicity will set up the Dubai-based hospital as a joint venture between Indian holding company Global Health and Dubai based businessman Murari Jalan.
