Chinese people in search of wellness retreats focused on oriental medicine including Ayurvedic therapy, acupuncture, Balinese remedies, chi gong, herbal treatments and more go to Bali for the premium services offered by the local spas.

According to Ctrip data, the average health and wellness tourism spending exceeds regular outbound trips by ten times.

Indonesia is popular for general health screenings, cancer screenings, genetic testing, cosmetic surgery, placenta anti-aging, living cell therapy, hepatitis C treatments and physical therapy.
