Patient safety accreditor to launch online directory

In the coming months, global healthcare accreditor, QUAD A, will launch an online directory of accredited QUAD A facilities allowing the public and referring physicians to find the safest facilities in their area, providing tools to improve marketing and explaining the importance of accreditation to patients.

The accreditor will also launch an accreditation portal that will allow facilities to maintain accreditation documents, with digitised survey and self-survey processes to increase efficiency and accuracy, and an improved patient safety data reporting user experience.

QUAD A seeks to expand into new domestic and international markets. It recently changed its brand and identity from the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAAASF).  It continues to work with healthcare facilities to standardise and improve the quality of health care they provide, believing that patient safety should always come first.

The QUAD A accreditation programs help facilities demonstrate a strong commitment to patient safety, standardise quality, maintain fiscal responsibility, promote services to patients and collaborate with other health care leaders.  The following type of facilities can be accredited:

  • Ambulatory surgery centres.
  • Office based practices (dermatologists, fertility clinics, etc).
  • Rural health clinics.
  • Outpatient physical therapy clinics.
  • Paediatric dentists.
  • Oral maxillofacial surgeons.
