AXA PPP seeks help from providers in bid to grow PMI market

AXA PPP Healthcare has confirmed it is planning to launch a low-cost PMI product by the end of this year. The insurer described development of the new product as being very much in the formative stages’ but said the aim was to broaden the appeal of medical insurance by developing a product that bridges the gap between traditional PMI and NHS funded services. It wants to get hospitals on board from the start and has already written to private providers and NHS private patient units asking them to submit their ideas.
