Bupa Home Healthcare results

A change in the mix of pharmaceutical products dispensed to patients has driven down revenue at Bupa Home Healthcare. The company, which was formed from Bupa’s acquisition of Clinovia five years ago, reported a 4.4% decline in turnover to £194.7m in the year ended 31 December 2010. Nevertheless, gross profit improved to £31m from £30m a year earlier as the company continued to focus on adding higher value clinical services. In line with this, margins also improved to 16% from 15.1% in 2009.
