Bupa u-turn on individual PMI

Bupa, the private medical insurance provider could be about to re-enter the intermediated individual PMI market. Last year Bupa announced it would no longer be offering the individual PMI products it sold through intermediaries. However a spokesman for the insurer has revealed: Since then, we have been having some helpful discussions with advisers about creating a sustainable commercial model for the consumer intermediary health insurance market. Their feedback has been extremely valuable and we have recently partnered with a small group of intermediaries to test a new model which will offer Bupa B2C cover via the consumer intermediary channel.’
