Care UK to run new independent sector treatment centres

Residential and nursing home provider Care UK plc has been named by the Department of Health (DoH) as one of the preferred bidders to run new Independent Sector Treatment Centres (ISTCs). Care UK, in partnership with Afrox Healthcare, a South African company owned by worldwide gas company BOC, will operate three of the new centres in Maidstone, Nottinghamshire and Plymouth, providing orthopaedic and general surgery.
