Commissioning reforms needed – King’s Fund

A radical shake up of the commissioning structure is needed in order to integrate health and social care, according to The King’s Fund. Following up on the Barker Commission’s report (CCMn October 2014), its latest publication recommends that all areas of the country work towards having a single local commissioner and one budget for health and social care by 2020.
