Homecare exit means loss for Randstad

Randstad Care Ltd, provider of staffing and recruitment solutions, reported a 14% decrease in turnover on 2011 for the year ending 31 December 2012. The directors reported that turnover fell from £47.5m to £40.6m and blamed this on its exit from the domiciliary care market. Subsequently, after costs and administrative expenses of £42.1m (2011: £51.3m) the company was left with an operating loss of £1.6m (2011: loss of £2.0m). However, following a tax credit of £1.3m the overall loss for the year was £145,900 (2011: loss of £1.9m).
