House of Lords looks into adoption

A new House of Lords committee has been set up to monitor adoption legislation. Chaired by Baroness Butler-Sloss, the committee will look at the impact of legislation on the adoption process; what causes delays in placing children with adoptive parents; and how the government can increase the number of potential adopters.
