Independents see increase in self-pay as NHS struggles

Spire Healthcare has reported an increase in its self-pay business for the year ending December 2011. Its annual report (see page 22) showed that earnings from the self-pay market have increased by 7% with a 14.9% increase in self pay customers (and other overseas custom).
