Lack of funding affecting quality says Sutcliffe

The Chief Inspector of Adult Social Care has joined the ranks of sector leaders calling for national and local government to recognise the true cost of care. In a scathing attack on the current system, Andrea Sutcliffe said poor leadership and a lack of funding had led to a decline in quality. The comments came as it was disclosed the Care Quality Commission (CQC) is receiving more than 150 accusations of abuse and neglect per day.
