Personal budget use increases 40% says ADASS

The number of people using personal budgets to pay for care increased by 40% last year (2011/12) to an estimated 429,000. However, this figure represents just 53% of those people currently eligible to make use of this funding model, according to research from the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS).
