Profit drops for Raphael Healthcare

Mental healthcare provider Raphael Healthcare saw steady revenues and operating profits for the year ending 31 March 2012 but despite this recorded a significant drop of over £1m on profit on ordinary activities before tax. Turnover was £7.6m and followed the £7.8m posted in 2011 and operating profits stood up well against the previous year’s performance hitting £1.8m (2010: £1.9m). However, profit before tax fell from £1.4m to just £194,000 following problems with planning permission at its Briars Hey site.
