The Scottish Parliament passed into law reforms to its health and social care services last month in a move that it expected to lead to greater integrated provision of services. The Public Bodies (Joint Working) (Scotland) Bill includes a framework of legislation to help councils and health boards to integrate services and develop partnerships. An integration board is also to be set up and an position for a chief executive will be created.
