Solid year for Hesley Group

Turnover grew for specialist care provider The Hesley Group by 5.4% in the year ended 31 December 2014. Revenues stood at £36.8m compared to £34.9m the previous year. After deducting administrative expenses of £30.8m (2013: £29.4m) and the addition of income of £12.4m from training grants and rent and wayleaves in relations to land at its business premises (£2013: £4.6m), the provider made an operating profit of £6m (2013: £5.5m), with EBITDA of £7m (2013: £6.5m). Taking into account interest charges of £0.8m (2013: £1m), a pre- tax profit of £5.2m was achieved compared to £4.5m the previous year. At the year end, the operator recorded net assets of £3.8m (2013: £3.5m).
