Suffolk suspends ten providers

In a show of force Suffolk council suspended contracts with ten care homes last month after it judged them as not meeting their own quality standards. No council residents would be moved out of the facilities, each managed by different independent sector operators who the council would not name, but, equally, no further placements would be made until the situation was rectified.
