Dr Foster finds decade old problems in hospitals The Dr Foster Hospital Guide has highlighted the fact that many issues raised in its first hospital guide ten years ago remain problems to day. Notably there is the fact that hospitals need to perform high levels of surgery to ensure good outcomes. Also that there are hospitals failing to meet the best standards of care despite many years of evidence of the impact this has on patients.
Alliance Surgical has profit increase result
Alliance Surgical, provider of healthcare, healthcare management and ancillary services has reported turnover for the year to 31 March 2011 of £7.4m 8.3% down on turnover of £8.08m in 2010. The profit for the year after taxation was £307,878 marginally up on profit of £278,811 for the year to March end 2010. Profits before share based payments, interest and taxation was £356,309 down £81,569 from profit of £437,878 in 2010.
