Andy Cole to join Brainkind as chief executive officer

Brainkind has appointed Andy Cole as its permanent chief executive officer, joining the organisation in November.

Cole, who will succeed interim CEO Chris Askew, joins the charity from Royal Star & Garter, where he is CEO. He is also chair of the National Care Forum and has previously led the charity Bliss as CEO, alongside holding senior leadership roles at Leonard Cheshire.

‘I am thrilled to be joining Brainkind as chief executive in November. Brainkind is an organisation deeply committed to making a difference to the lives of people who have experienced brain injury, and I am truly honoured to be stepping in to lead such an innovative and dedicated organisation,’ he said.

‘Brainkind has a bright future, and I am excited about what we can achieve together: supporting more people, sharing our expertise and knowledge, and growing the impact we make every day.’

Brainkind supports people with acquired brain injuries and neurological conditions. Through specialist assessment, rehabilitation and ongoing care services, it helps people rebuild their lives.
