Serenity Care Solent opens branch at Royal Haslar village

Homecare provider Serenity Care Solent has opened a branch on the site of Royal Haslar waterfront village, a new residential community near Alverstoke, Hampshire.

Royal Haslar was originally built as a waterside community to support sick and wounded sailors and marines of the Royal Navy, operating for over 250 years from 1753 until 2007. It is being developed into a 62-acre £200m village. Once complete, it will provide over 550 residential houses and apartments, including senior living homes.

The latest stage in the redevelopment and conversion of the former hospital’s buildings is focused on Trinity House, the main Grade II-listed Georgian quadrangle building. This is being restored to provide one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. Serenity’s branch will be on the ground floor.

Serenity was founded in 2019 by Beverley Mander and Stephen Mander, with the former bringing over 30 years’ experience working in care management and frontline adult social care.

The homecare company offers a range of services and packages for adults, including personal, dementia, overnight and live-in care, companionship, meal preparation, shopping and errands, mobility support, medication assistance, hospital-to-home support, respite, and light home help.

It has a team of about 50 employees working across Fareham, Gosport and Royal Haslar. They will be joining other onsite services to support care for residents, including a property manager, 24-hour security and Appello telehealth.
