Parsons to develop SureCare business

Domiciliary care agency SureCare has appointed Rob Parsons as business development manager. He previously held the same position at Archangel Homecare in Staffordshire.

Two appointments to HC-One board

Following its re-financing, HC-One has made two new appointments. Former director of social care, health and housing at Carmarthenshire county council and president of the Association of Directors for Social Services Cymru, Bruce McLearn will join the provider as a special advisor.

Winning takes Voyage helm

Andrew Winning is now interim chief executive of Voyage Care following the departure of Kevin Roberts. Previously he was chief financial officer, after joining the specialist care provider in 2011.

Glen Care makes board appoinments

Specialist care provider Glen Care has appointed two non-executive directors to its board. Former chief executive and strategic director of social services at Kent county council, Peter Gilroy will join the board alongside Dr Andres Fonseca, former medical director at Cambian.

Wellington takes on quality role

Sam Wellington has been appointed quality director for learning disability operator Eden Futures.Her role will be to further the integration of quality systems across the organisation to support evidence-based outcomes showing the difference being made to more than 700 service users’ lives.

Two heads for Four Seasons’ divisions

Four Season Health Care’s specialist care business The Huntercombe Group has appointed Valerie Michie as its new chief executive. Currently managing director of Serco Health, where she has overseen a turnaround in business performance and plotted significant growth in the UK, Middle East and Australia, Ms Michie is expected to take up her new post this summer.

Mitchell joins The King’s Fund board

Chief executive of the MS Society Michelle Mitchell has joined the board of trustees at The King’s Fund. Before joining the MS Society in 2013, Ms Mitchell was director general at Age UK, where she spearheaded work on social care, health and patient engagement.

Richardson to head Four Seasons’ self-pay arm

Four Seasons Health Care has appointed Jeremy Richardson as chief executive officer of its private-pay care homes division. He will take on responsibility for the 80 homes that offer high-end elderly care this month.
