Marsh appoints UK strategic healthcare growth leader

Marsh has appointed Mark Riley-Pitt as strategic healthcare growth leader for the UK in a newly created role.

Riley-Pitt (pictured) will report to strategic healthcare leader Neil Atkinson and will work with Mercer Marsh Benefits UK leader Nick McMenemy. He will focus on expanding the organisation’s advisory function and working with the private sector, policymakers, government agencies and NHS leadership.

He joins with more than 30 years’ experience in the healthcare sector across the UK, US, Poland, France, Spain, the United Arab Emirates and Canada, with a focus on public sector healthcare systems. He has also worked extensively with government agencies and regulators on healthcare systems and patient care.

Atkinson said: ‘Mark brings a wealth of experience with him from having worked across an extremely diverse group of private and public sector buyers, helping clients manage complex risk environments. He is well respected in the industry and a genuine thought-leader.’

Riley-Pitt said: ‘I am delighted to be able to join Marsh at such an interesting time for the organisation. Marsh is actively developing solutions to address the complexity of our healthcare system and is taking a unique risk-based approach to leading on improving societal health.’
