AXA Health launches digital musculoskeletal service

PMI provider AXA Health has launched a digital service for corporate clients which enables their employees to access musculoskeletal services without the need for a GP referral.

Provided in partnership with digital musculoskeletal care specialist HBSUK, the service will form part of AXA Health’s Working Body proposition and will be available to all employees of large corporate health schemes at renewal from this month, subject to plan benefits.

Members can self-register for the service and after completing an online assessment, will be triaged by a team of consultants and musculoskeletal clinicians working together with AXA Health. They will then be able to choose and book an appointment by phone, online or face-to-face where they will be directed for further diagnostics and/or treatment.

Andy McClure, marketing and proposition director for AXA Health, said: ‘Muscle, bone and joint problems remain one of the most common causes of employee sickness absence. Not only that, but aches, strains and pains can really break our stride, dampen our mood and stop us from being our best.

‘We’re empowering employees to take control of how, when and with whom they want to access advice. And they can be confident that by securing timely one-to-one advice from experienced professionals, they’ll have the right clinical expertise and care they need to help them get back on their feet.’
