Bupa Health Clinics offers PCR Covid-19 testing service

Bupa Health Clinics has launched a new Covid-19 testing service with nurse-led follow up support via its Bupa Anytime HealthLine.

The at-home PCR tests are delivered within 36 hours of ordering and returned to Bupa’s partner laboratory, Everything Genetics, with the result confirmed within 48 hours.

Following the test, customers can make one call to Bupa’s 24/7 Anytime HealthLine for advice and support up to three months after receiving the result.

Managing director of Bupa Health Clinics Sarah Melia said: ‘We’re delighted to launch our new self-swab PCR home testing kit. This provides reassurance, whilst also ensuring that those who test positive can self-isolate swiftly to prevent the spread of the virus.

‘On receiving the result, we know that people will have questions. Our follow-up support from our Anytime HealthLine nurses offers advice on managing symptoms and treatment.’

The testing service costs £149 and results are shared with government organisations for public health monitoring purposes.

Bupa Health Clinics, which is recognised by the government as a private Covid-19 testing company, also offers rapid antibody tests for £65.
