New website will match prospective private patients with providers

LaingBuisson is poised to launch a new patient acquisition portal in response to rising demand for private health care services.

GoPrivate.com will go live later this year and will replace LaingBuisson’s Privatehealth.co.uk website with a cleaner, more intuitive and consumer-friendly website, which enables patients and prospective patients to be matched with clinicians, hospitals and clinics at every stage of the patient journey.

Patients can search a comprehensive list of independent healthcare providers by treatment type and location. Providers can also opt to feature a more in-depth profile which is optimised to capture patients at the point they are ready to buy and supplement enquiries from patients with a targeted fast-track enquiry service.

The move comes against a backdrop of rising demand for private healthcare, particularly self-pay. According to the latest research from LaingBuisson, the total value of the self-pay market hit its highest level ever in 2020 at £1.1bn and demand is likely to be sustained with around half of independent sector healthcare providers expecting the market to grow by 10-15% by 2025.

Jon Butler, digital strategy manager at LaingBuisson, said traffic to the Privatehealth.co.uk website has surged over the past 12 months with more than three million patients visiting the site.

‘GoPrivate.com is the next generation of the hugely successful Private Healthcare UK website which has been matching patients with healthcare specialists since 1997. With more patients than ever visiting the site in the last 12 months, now is a great time to build on its success with the launch of the new site which focuses on simplifying private healthcare options for consumers,’ added Butler.
