Spanish eye care group Barraquer will open in Phase 2 of Dubai Healthcare City.
The first Barraquer UAE Eye Hospital in the Middle East, a leading eye clinic from Spain, will be located in the Dubai Healthcare City’s Phase 2 expansion in Al Jaddaf.
The new hospital is expected to open in the fourth quarter of 2020, and will bring to Dubai and the region its medical and surgical expertise in eye care that has been developed at the Barraquer Ophthalmology Centre in Barcelona. The centre specialises in research, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and management of eye diseases, providing comprehensive eye care to patients from over 90 countries worldwide.
The Dubai branch will offer a range of services covering diagnosis and surgery – cornea, conjunctiva, refractive and glaucoma specialties among others – through outpatient consultations as well as inpatient treatment. The clinic will have 10 beds.
The eye hospital is a joint venture between Barraquer and financial partner Grandis Capital Investment Company. Barraquer has attracted patients from all over the world for many years and, especially, from the Middle East and North Africa.
