Saudi luxury wellness tourism Red Sea site, AMAALA, is continuing to develop, as borders open.
Saudi Arabia has lifted all travel restrictions. Visitors to Saudi no longer need to present proof of vaccination or a PCR test to enter the country. The red list of countries not allowed entry has been discontinued. Institutional quarantine requirements have been removed entirely, and social distancing rules have been lifted.
The Saudi Arabian government has reopened the visa-on-arrival programme for holders of valid visas for the US, UK and Schengen area.
AMAALA, the first integrated family wellness destination along the North Western Red Sea coastline of Saudi Arabia is ready to complete its initial phase of development by the end of 2024, by opening nine hotels.
The aim is to provide a tourism experience, without compromising sustainability by using the underground water in its spas.
AMAALA aims to support the diversification of Saudi Arabia’s leisure and tourism industry, drive domestic and foreign direct investment, and stimulate economic growth and job creation.
