Bevan Brittan has appointed Amrish Sharma as banking and finance partner to support the law firm’s work across both the health and care and financial services sectors.

Sharma, who joins from DWF, has more than 18 years of experience in advising lenders, private credit funds, private equity sponsors and borrowers on acquisition finance, leveraged finance and healthcare transactions across the UK mid-market.

This includes acting on sponsor-backed buyouts, refinancings, bolt-ons and portfolio transactions across sectors, with an emphasis on healthcare, professional services and mid-market private equity.

Based in Bevan Brittan’s London office, he will take on a dual role. In addition to supporting borrowers as part of the firm’s independent health and care team, he will also advise lenders connected to its insurance and financial services offering.

Jodie Sinclair, senior partner at Bevan Brittan, said: ‘We have ambitious plans for continued growth, and attracting talented strategic lateral hires like Amrish is central to the development of our banking team and our offering in two key sectors. Our expertise in health and care and financial services has gone from strength to strength in recent years, and his appointment reflects our ongoing commitment to investing in our capabilities and enhancing the support we provide to clients.’

Sharma is Bevan Brittan’s eighth senior hire of 2026. He said: ‘I’m delighted to be joining Bevan Brittan at such an exciting stage in its growth. The banking and finance market is continuing to evolve rapidly and this is creating both new challenges and opportunities for clients.’
