Simplyhealth expands Personal Group partnership

Healthcare services and cash plan provider Simplyhealth has expanded its partnership with AIM-listed employee benefits company Personal Group in a move it said could give more than one million additional people access to its healthcare services.

Under the deal, Simplyhealth’s On Demand services will be integrated into Personal Group’s employee benefits platform Hapi, providing users with access to health and wellbeing services alongside their existing workplace benefits.

Services will be offered on a discounted or self-pay basis and will include physiotherapy, mental health support, women’s and men’s health services, nutrition support, diagnostic testing and neurodiversity assessments. The agreement will also see Simplyhealth offer Hapi to its own corporate clients.

Simplyhealth CEO Paul Schreier said: ‘People are more likely to engage with support when it’s easy to find, easy to access and integrated into their everyday experience.

‘This partnership supports our purpose to improve access to healthcare and wellbeing for everyone. By bringing our services to Hapi, we have the opportunity to reach over one million additional people, helping more employees access the support they need.’

The latest agreement builds on a strategic partnership announced by the two companies in March this year.

Personal Group CEO Paula Constant said: ‘Bringing Simplyhealth’s On Demand services into Hapi is an important next step. It means we can give employers a broader range of health and wellbeing support through an experience their employees already know and use, while continuing to combine digital access with the face-to-face engagement that helps people understand what’s available to them.’

The two companies said they plan to continue developing their joint proposition for employers following the expansion of the partnership.
