Chinese authorities approve JCI as a healthcare accreditor

JCI Accreditation (Beijing) Co. Ltd. (JCIA China) has gained approval from Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China (CNCA), to provide service certification on health care in mainland China.

JCIA China is a wholly owned foreign enterprise managed and operated by Joint Commission International (JCI). JCIA China is the only certification organisation in China representing JCI.

JCIA China will provide certification services to healthcare organisations in mainland China, and help them improve healthcare quality and safety by the certification.

JCI Standards:

  • Represent a systemic framework that may help hospitals provide safe and quality care.
  • Serve as a reference for the organisational structure of all the essential administrative and clinical functions.
  • Focus on patients and their families.
  • Balance structural, process and outcome.
  • Outline the best, achievable, and measurable expectations.

The JCI Standards are subject to triennial revision.
