Czech Republic promotes spa tourism for 2022

Czech Tourism is launching a new marketing strategy for 2022 which will be centred on Czech traditions. Traditions include spa and wellness treatments that date back hundreds of years.

The Czech Republic is looking to make its spa offerings an integral part of its tourism recovery, as it recognises the growing demand from travellers for rejuvenating holidays.

UNESCO has awarded two new spa sites in the Czech Republic with World Heritage status, including the West Bohemian Spa Triangle which consists of Karlovy Vary, Marianske Lazne, and Frantiskovy Lazne.

Czech Tourism has also launched a Czech Academy online training platform geared towards educating tour operators and trade professionals on the key tourism offerings of the Czech Republic. Those that enrol in the academy will be able to complete six modules covering:

  • Welcome to the Czech Republic
  • Spa and wellness
  • Culture and gastronomy
  • LGBT
  • MICE
  • Cities
