The state organisation promoting medical tourism to Cuba, Comercializadora de Servicios Médicos Cubanos S.A. (CSMC), has signed contracts with the Cubanacan hotel group and the Meliá hotel chain to strengthen the country’s alliance between tourism and health.

CSMC is seeking new alliances for health tourism on the island. The agreements will allow travellers access to medical services during their stay on the island.

Cubanacan has said that it seeks to use all its infrastructure and logistics to promote a service that distinguishes Cuba as a destination and part of that is to offer healthcare. Spanish hotel group Meliá Hotels is offering health tourism packages.

Cuba is also hosting its First International Fair of Medical Tourism and Wellbeing from October 17th to 20th 2022 in Havana.
